When a big spring tide drains off the granite below the harbour wall, a whole street of rock pools appears, full of crabs, anemones and a lobster the colour of ink. Anyone can spin it at once, and a golden limpet that lands on a dry spin clings on for a free second go.
Springtide Rockpools is the first bell of Jowan's day: he rings it as the water slides back off the weed-draped rocks.
