Redwheel Reach

As the sun sinks behind the willows, the old paddle steamer with the big red wheel churns up the tidal river past the town spires, flags flying from its two tall funnels. A middle-paced world whose free round gathers steam from x2 up to x4 and keeps it to the last spin.

About this world

Redwheel Reach

Redwheel Reach is the last bell of the day, rung from the landing stage as the paddle steamer swings into the river mouth at sunset. Twine-Tied Charts, Plumb Sounders and Red-Barrel Spyglasses come up at an easy pace, while the Binnacle Dome and the Gilt Helm Wheel steer the richer lines. The Starred Paddlewheel takes the place of any picture except the Ruby Signal Lamp. Lamps pay wherever they hang: three lamps flash ten free spins, four flash fifteen and five flash twenty-two, and lamps spotted mid-round add spins. The multiplier starts at x2, moves to x3 on spin three and settles at x4 from spin five.

Steamer's Climb. The first pair of free spins pays x2, the second pair x3, and the fifth spin onwards pays x4 right to the end of the round; the steamer never loses speed mid-round.

The honest part

Harbour coins only, every tide

All play here uses free virtual coins. None of it is real-money gambling, nothing won has real-world value, and there are no in-app purchases. A random number generator sets each result; no spin is swayed by the last.

Measured by running this page's own engine for 10,000,000 spins: coin RTP 96.5%, hit frequency 34.4%, free spins about once in 137 spins, a win of 10x your stake or more about once in 104 spins. Coin figures only — no money is staked or returned.

How to play

Redwheel Reach in three steps

1

Sign in, step onto the landing stage and set a stake as the paddle steamer comes alongside.

2

Spin. The Starred Paddlewheel fills in for every picture on board apart from the Ruby Signal Lamp, and lamps pay on your total stake from any position.

3

Three lamps flash ten free spins, four flash fifteen and five flash twenty-two. The opening pair of free spins runs at x2, the middle pair at x3, and from the fifth the paddles turn at x4.

Who it suits

Evening players who enjoy an unhurried river trip and a free round that gathers steam the further upstream it goes.

What to expect

An even-tempered trip upriver. Modest wins chug along like the paddles, and the best of the voyage tends to arrive near the end of the free round, once each spin is worth x4.

Questions

About Redwheel Reach

Not while the steamer is under way. It only gathers speed, and once the fifth free spin arrives it stays at x4 until you tie up.

Yes, and three or more Ruby Signal Lamps in the round add extra spins.

No. Lamps are scatters, and the paddlewheel emblem leaves them alone.

Springtide Rockpools

When a big spring tide drains off the granite below the harbour wall, a whole street of rock pools appears, full of crabs, anemones and a lobster the colour of ink. Anyone can spin it at once, and a golden limpet that lands on a dry spin clings on for a free second go.

Silverdawn Crates

At first light the painted boats nose in against the stone quay and the nets spill silver into wooden crates under the hanging brass bell. The wildest world at the harbour: every winning line drops out of sight and the catch tumbles down to refill it, up to x5.
